Score of Ghanaians have eulogized the president of the republic of Ghana, John Dramani Mahama, for his speed and strategic appointments of cabinet and state ministers who will serve under his administration for the next fours years of his democratic tenure.
Monitoring various mainstream media and social media platforms, analyst in both economic and governance, have unanimously expressed optimism in the names so far mentioned by the president so serve in his administration.
keenly among the names are the former minority leader in parliament hon. casel Ato forson, who is now appointed to serve as the minister of finance and economic planning, Hon. Muntaka Mubarak, member of parliament for Asawase constituency, designated for ministry of interior, Member of parliament for north tongu, Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa, designated for foreign ministry.
Hon. Murtala Mohammed Ibrahim, Member of parliament for Tamale central, designated for ministry of environment, science and technology. Felix kwakye Ofosu designated for minister of state government communication, whiles Issifu Seidu for minister of state climate change and sustainability.
However, Hon. Haruna Iddrisu has been designated for ministry of education. A Sector, that is currently in economic and structural dilemma due to unplanned implementation of free senior high school program by the erstwhile administration of Nana Addo and Bawumiah.
Ghanaians expect the current minister designated for education, to introduce reforms to review the state of the free shs and ensure quality contact hours for students across various senior high schools in the country.
Meanwhile, the rapid appointments is in response to the pledge his excellency the president made to Ghanaians to make his entire appointment of ministers of state and cabinet ministers within 120 days of his stay in office.
Nonetheless, various designated ministers are undergoing vetting at the appointment committee set by the Ghanaian legislative organ in accordance with the constitution and parliamentary standing orders.
The Mahama led administration has given more prominence to the youth of Ghana, as most of his appointments done so far, centered around vibrant youth occupying critical decision making sectors of the economy.
The likes of Sammy Gyamfi, felix kwakyi, and others are testament for his pledge to reset the countries economy around the youth.
