The deputy electoral commissioner of Ghana, Samuel Tettey, in a brief statement with the media at about 10:25pm saturday, has stated that, the commission has so far received 60% of results across region and they are therefore heading to national collation center for the regional collation results.
He has also commended various stakeholders for prove of professionalism and resilience and urged them to continue exhibiting such conduct until the last result is collated and announced.
Mr. Tettey also mentioned that, in some areas there has been call for recount by some candidates and in some areas two of such appeal was granted.
Meanwhile, the commission is expected to announce the winner of the 2024 elections within 74hours.
Currently, collation is ongoing at various levels in the country with internal and external observers present to ensure free, fair credible and legitimate election.
