The NDC zango caucus of the Ofakor ward, of awutu senya east constituency, in the central region of Ghana, has launched its house to house campaign with less than 2 months to Ghana’s general election.
The caucus ward coordinator hosted dignitaries from the constituency, region and traditional and opinion leaders as well as Muslim clergies, to mark what they described as, the beginning of the victory 2024.
The event witnessed the presence of the constituency chairman of the party, Chairman Stephen Ofosu Agyare and his vice, Alhaji Usman, the constituency caucus coordinator, Alhaji Nurudeen Mohammed, the parliamentary candidate for NDC in the Awutu senya east, Madam Phlis Naa koryoo, and some executive members.
The team were charged to work diligently to ensure the victory of the party in the upcoming election, especially in their areas of jurisdiction.
The chiefs through their spokes person extend their request of social amenities to the parliamentary candidate, urging her not to forget Ofakor when she eventually gets the nod to become the representative at the legislative body of the country. They urged her to always remember the people of ofakor zango and the environ, as they are lagging behind in terms of basic amenities.
The Parliamentary candidate allays their fears and urged them to support the party’s victory and after the victory she assured them, under the leadership of John Dramani Mahama and herself, people of kasoa and awutu senya east, will experience the better side of leadership that the constituency has been lacking since 2012.
The parliamentary candidate also charged well attended party sympathizers and executive to work together in the collective interest of the party to enable the NDC come to power and reset the country and role out policies that would improve upon the economy and create sustainable jobs and skill for the people of Ghana. especially Awutu senya east.
The caucus coordinator for Awutu senya east, Alhaji Nurudeen also commended the ofakor zango caucus ward for their resilience, dedication and commitment to party’s activities and urged them to continue until victory comes for all. He admonished the attendees of the launch to consider their plight during the vote and cast their vote wisely to emancipate themselves from the hardship and backwardness the NPP government and its cohort has subjected the country.
Meanwhile, the Vice chairman of the constituency, Alhaji Usman, also appealed to the electorate and the NDC sympathizers to vote uniformly for both their presidential and parliamentary candidate. whereas he promised them leadership readiness to protect their vote and interest as well as making sure every vote count until victory is set for the NDC.
