The NDC parliamentary candidate for Essikadu constituency in the central region, Dr. Grace Ayensu has hinted that, next NDC government will prioritize the health of Ghanaian women by ensuring the creation of satellite clinics in all major markets in the country to attend to the health needs of Ghanaian market women and their children under Mahama care health policy in the 2024 manifesto.

Speaking to the irate women of national democracy congress in the Ashanti region, Dr. Ayensu, revealed that, the next NDC administration will continue on the its policy of building clinics, CHIPS compound, regional and municipal health center to pave way for improved and proximity health needs, as well as provide jobs for many women in the health sectors.

Dr. Ayensu also mentioned that, the next NDC government will ensure free sanitary pad is shared consistently to all senior high schools and basic schools to help improve the sanitary well-being of girl child in various schools. According to her, the availability of sanitary pad for these girls, will help them stay in school and boost their confidence as ladies.

She added that the next NDC administration will ensure sanitary pads are no longer imported, stating that, factories will be established in Ghana to produce the sanitary pad to make them affordable and proximity.

Dr. Ayensu raised concerns over persisting child mortality in Ghana in the 21st century, adding that, the government has done little to augment the legacy of the former NDC administration on health, warranting year round mortality rate in various health facilities in the country.

She also mentioned that, the “Onuado” health Van policy will continue under next NDC government to help mobile health provision on all areas of the country.

Meanwhile, in 2014-2016, the health ministry through the Ghana health service has operated health mobile van clinic known Onuado. the facility has been significant in promoting and providing the health needs of Ghanaian.

Dr. Ayensu urged electorate, most especially women, to prioritize bringing NDC to power to help enhance the country’s health needs and be able to meet up with various millennium development goals on health.
