The Fulani community represented by Hajia Lauratu Jallo, have pledge their commitment to vote massively for the NDC and John Dramani Mahama in the December polls in the Ghanaian election.

speaking at the launch of women Manifesto of the NDC in the Ashanti region, the representative of the fulani community, claims they have been ignored by their own, who is the 2nd lady of the republic. stressing that, they felt supporting the NPP in 2016 because of Samira Bawumiah, would have given them sense of representation and hope in the country, yet, they are living in misery and absolute marginalization.

Hajia Luratu apologized to John Dramani Mahama and NDC for the neglect from 2016 and pledges 95% of Fulani community’s vote for the opposition national democratic congress in the December 2024 polls.

” We apologize for not listening to you and i can assure you that, 95% of fulani in Ghana will vote for you and the NDC in the December election”

Lauratu insisted the 2nd lady, Samira Bawumiah has not turned her eye towards their plights since she became the 2nd lady. stressing that, the fulanis in Ghana have had series of issues with the nation, yet, their sister has failed to represent their interest.

“In 2016 we were in heaven but we said we don’t like, but now we are facing hell”. she added

Meanwhile, the Fulani in Ghana for some years have received variety of backlashes from various communities in the country, where many of them fears deportation due to lack of representation and documentation menace.

During the launch of NDC manifesto in the central region of Ghana, John Dramani Mahama, has promised to ensure protection of all indigenes and break any gin of marginalization against any legitimate citizen of the republic.

The former president has reiterated his commitment to the protection of constitutional right of all citizens regardless of tribe, faith, region or race. similar commitment has been echoed at the Ashanti Region on Monday during an event of the national women’s wing of the NDC.
