The Senior advisor to Mr. Alan Kyremanteng, of movement for change, Mr. Ohene Ntwo, has described, as insult on Ghanaians, for NPP government to bring heavy equipment to various communities, with three months to the general election. He said this on tv3 daybreak
The former leading member of the ruling new patriotic party has said that, the delusionary tactics of this government to get the people vote for them is untoward. He believes the idea of funfair launching of some road equipment three months to election is a kind of playing with the intelligence of Ghanaians.
” This government has been around for 8 years, 3 months to election you send equipment to our communities to go and level out untarred roads just to get the electorate vote for you because their roads are being done”
He said the people of Manfi and larte, have been battling bad roads for past years since the government assumed power, the Nana Addo administration deemed no fit to fixed their bad road until just about few months to election.
” My home town manfi to larte, larte to Ayikuman for longest time their road has been totally unmotorable, a few weeks ago, two weeks ago, they put machine down and trying to do something because election is coming”
” I am telling you people at larte Nana Asiedu you are my senior brother, i should have been sitting on that stool but we all supported you. I am telling you and Nana Adwinfra of larte Akwapim stool, personal i could be a chief but i opted to go into politics. So am speaking directly to my brother Nana Asiedu and Nana Adwinfra and my compatriot in larte and manfi, Don’t get fooled because they get equipment to grade the road two months to election. what was happening to our lives through out these years” He fumed.
He stressed that he and the GRA boss went and lobbied for their township roads to be made motorable but they were ignored.
” GRA boss went to lobby for 5 to 7 kilometers of road to his home town no body minded him” he added
Mr. Ntow instigated the larte people vote massively against the NPP government . stressing that voting for NPP after all the pains they caused Ghanaians will make the party take the people of as ” stupid”.
” why should we allow the people in power to treat us like a piece of trash on earth when we give them the power” he quizzed.
Mr. Ntow expressed dismay over government’s attitude on the fight against illegal mining which has irately muddied the entire major rivers of the country. According to him, the current situation of Ghana and her economic and environmental structure is worse than a Hippic.
He echoed the statement made by the Ghana water, regarding the possibility of central region having future water crisis due to heavy damage on supply source, for purification. Resulting from uncontrollable illegal mining.
Mr. Ntow added the similar trends could replicate to other regions across the country due to government’s inability to exhibit political will power in the fight against illegal mining.
“If today the expert are telling us the water cannot be treated due to serious mud, then the people in central region, we should make provision to import water either from Volta side or from abroad” he chastised.
” As things are going if we don’t get a leader that has a political will, a person not a political party, a person , a leader, who will be prepared genuinely to put his presidency on the line”.
He believe the NPP administration for which he was an integral part for years, have failed Ghanaians and they need to be booted out of office to make provision for a committed and transparent leadership that will bring the country back to the path of progress and transformation.
