The Ashanti regional Imam of Aswaj, Sheikh Ismael  has confirmed,  there  has been an amicable resolution between the chief of Atwima Nwabiagya south and the imam of Aswaj in the municipality, following an unfortunate disagreement relating to a piece of land acquired by the imam, as an eternal preserve for mortal remains of Muslims in the municipality.

In his narration to millennium news, sheikh Ismael recounted that,” the feud, resulted from a piece of land facilitated by Imam Hussein, the imam of Aswaj Mosque in the locality for the purposes of cemetery for Muslims. However, the chief insisted the landed property is handed over to him for its management, since he is the chief of the area.

The imam who facilitated the land on the other hand, insisted, he would be in custody of the land, because the land was acquired by him. This sparked undue disagreement between them”.
